Megan (Farr) Kissel played four years as a middle blocker at Kansas State University, finishing among the Top 25 teams in the nation every year. She was Team Captain her senior year, and mid-season during that campaign was ranked 3rd in the nation in hitting percentage at .451. In 2007 Kissel hit .390 which ranked 4th in the Big 12 and 17th nationally. For her career, Megan ranks 2nd in school history for hitting percentage at .348 and 5th in school history with 394 career blocks. In both 2007 and 2008 she finished the season on the All Big 12 Honorable Mention Team.

Kissel excelled in the classroom at K-State as well as on the court. She was placed on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII Team in 2008 and earned a spot on the K-State Dean's List for five semesters. Between 2005-2008 Megan landed on the All Big 12 Commissioners Honor Roll and the All- Big 12 Academic Team. During her tenure at Kansas State, Kissel coached at numerous summer camps on campus and in the surrounding communities. She also received the Mortar Board Community Service Award in 2008 for her volunteer efforts with elementary age school children. Kissel graduated from K-State with a 3.625 GPA and a BS in Business Management. In December, 2009, she was awarded a Masters' Degree from Kansas State in College Student Personnel with an emphasis in Intercollegite Athletics. Megan will be returning for her second season at the Wave. She was married in July, 2010, to her husband, BJ Kissel, and lives in North County.
