After being selected as the Texas Gatorade High School Player of the Year in 2003, Michelle Moriarity  continued her volleyball career at the University of Texas. As a Longhorn, Moriarity completed a stellar collegiate career. She was a 4-year starter and served as the Texas team captain for her last three years. On two occasions she led Texas to Elite 8 appearances, in both 2006 and 2007. In addition to being an Academic All-American, Moriarity  earned honors as a three-time All American indoors and finished her career as the University of Texas All-time assist leader. After graduating in 2008 with a BA in Sports Management, Moriarity played professionally indoors in Switzerland in 2008/09 and Spain in 2011. During the same period she also turned her intention to the beach game in the summer months. She has been a member of USA Beach Volleyball the last two years. She placed 7th in the 2010 World University Games in Alanya, Turkey, and is currently a member of the USA A2 National Training Team. Moriarity coached numerous clinics and camps while at the University of Texas and led the Mira Costa HS freshmen team in 2010. She is entering her first year on the Wave staff.
