After winning two CIF Boys Volleyball Championships and graduating from La Costa Canyon HS in 2000, Trevor Olson received a volleyball scholarship to play at the University of Arizona. While at the U of A, Olson won another two club national championships as an outside hitter. He graduated in 2004 with a BS and Teaching Credential in Physical Education and Health, with an emphasis on coaching.

Trevor jumped into the coaching ranks his senior year, leading the women’s club team at Arizona to second place at the National Championships. Olson returned to San Diego four years ago and has been a fixture at the Wave ever since. He earned the first Boy’s banner at the Wave, taking 5th place with his 14’s at the Junior Olympics in 2008, and in 2010 finished Top 10 with his 15 girls at the JVDA Nationals. Olson is the current Athletic Director at The Grauer School in Encinitas, and is entering his fifth season as a Wave coach. He has two young sons with his wife, Heather, and is an avid outdoorsman.
