Ann, a San Diego native, brings a wealth of volleyball experience to WAVE. As a player, began her career as a sophomore at Poway High School. Three years and two championships later, she was the San Diego Section player of the year. She earned a scholarship to UCLA, where she started as a freshman, reached two NCAA Final Fours, broke all kinds of assist records and twice was named 1st team All-American and earned All University Athlete of the Year in 1988-89. After graduating from UCLA, she joined the Women's National Team to play at the international level through 1992. She then made her way to the 4 man beach circuit followed by the women's doubles Pro-Beach tour and earned WPVA Rookie Team of the Year in 1995.
As a coach, she believes in utilizing positive and constructive feedback to help players work through their personal challenges on the court. In doing so, she works to instill the belief that through hard work you can overcome and achieve your goals. This philosophy has found success for her at Epic Volleyball Club, Mira Mesa High School, and now WAVE.
When she's not coaching, you can find her outdoors hiking, playing tennis or beach volleyball, and spending time with her family. She loves to scuba dive and hike! She is grateful for life and it shows in all she does.
