Cheri joined the WAVE coaching staff in 2021! Cheri is a San Diego native and attended Poway High School. She was named MVP at the Junior National Championship in 1988. After high school, she attended the University of Hawaii and graduated with a Political Science degree. During her career at Hawaii she was a 3x All-American setter. As a coach, Cheri is passionate about giving back to the sport she loves!

Cheri is a mother of 3 collegiate athletes, and her daughter Emily (University of Indiana) is a WAVE alum. During her free time, you can find her at 26th St. in Del Mar, playing in the sand. We are excited to have Cheri join the WAVE staff and look forward her immediate impact on the court.
