Jeff joined WAVE in 2019, bringing with him a desire to transform the hearts and minds of each of the athletes he works with. He longs for each of them to be proficient physically, while also developing their skills in motivation, confidence, emotions, team cohesion, identity, self-worth, character, and purpose.
Jeff's coached at Rancho Bernardo High School as the Boys Assistant Varsity Coach from 2006 until 2008, which included a CIF Division 1 Runner-Up seasons in 2006 and 2008. From 2006-2009, was a boys club coach at Epic Volleyball Club, where in 2009 he led his Epic 17-Jeff team to a Silver Medal at the Junior Olympics. He was the inaugural coach at Del Norte High School for both the boys and girls programs from 2009 to 2011, and again in 2017-18. The girls team won back to back league championships in 2017-18, was the Division 1 runner-up in 2017, and qualified for the open division in 2018. He was a coach at Seaside/San Diego Volleyball club from 2011-2015 (before spending two years in Portland) and again from 2015-18, where he coached both boys and girls. He was also the Athletic Director at Horizon Prep from 2011-2015.
During his playing days, he played as a middle blocker at Rancho Bernardo High School, where he made first team all-league in 2001. In 2002, he was the team MVP and all-league selection at Palomar College. He then went on to finish his three years of college, playing club volleyball at Azusa Pacific University.
Jeff is married to his beautiful wife Tiffani, and has three children: Sadie, Brooks, and Lincoln. If you want to get on his good side, bring him coffee - he loves it.
