Jorge has coached for 10+ years, beginning his coaching career when he was in high school working with different coaches to learn the sport. He has since coached at Viper volleyball (2015-2017), Forza1(2017-2018) volleyball, & SoCal volleyball (2018-2019) before joining us at Wave Volleyball (2019 to Present). Jorge has also coached at different high schools including Murrieta Mesa (2015- 2016) where he helped the girls program get their first official win and first appearance in program history in CIF playoffs, from there he would help lead Murrieta Valley (2016-2017) into a winning season. From there he coached at Rancho Christian Boys volleyball (2018-2019). where they earned a First place finish - a first in program history coupled with their first appearance in CIF Playoffs. Jorge currently coaches at Pacific Ridge as the Assistant Varsity coach with Jed Stotsenberg and is the head coach of the Junior Varsity team.
Jorge has two degrees in kinesiology, which include a Bachelors degree in Health Science and a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science with Athletic performance, which he uses to instill his philosophy of creating smarter and efficient players with the key idea to play "smarter not harder.
Personally, Jorge played at Palomar College and at the University of Saint Katherine. He has also played nationally with the Mexico Men's Volleyball team.
Jorge likes to spend his time outside of volleyball either going to music festivals, surfing, or relaxing with friends and family.
