Patsy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a player, coach, & official to the WAVE in 2020. She herself, played 2 years at Mesa Jr. College, 1 year at San Diego State University, and 15 years of USVBA.
As a coach, she began coaching the boys at Mt. Carmel HS in 1987 and was the head coach for 27 years. She has stayed on as an assistant since 2014. During her time at Mt. Carmel, her teams won 7 CIF titles, 14 League titles and she was selected CIF Model Coach of the year in 2003-2004. She has coached boys club for many years with clubs that are no longer around. She has also coached at many summer camps with Al Scates, from UCLA, and also with John Cook, in Wisconsin and Nebraska.
Additionally, as a college volleyball official at the Division 1 level, she has officiated 7 final fours.
She has a definite passion for the game of volleyball. As such, she wants to share that and instill a similar one to all the athletes she coaches. Besides becoming better volleyball players, she would like to see them become better people, getting the best out of themselves and their teammates.
When she isn't on the court, which isn't often it would appear, she finds time to walk or swim every day.
