Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Sarah was a four-year starting Right Side at the University of Portland after spending her high school career as a Middle Blocker. During her collegiate career, she helped lead the Pilots to some of the most successful seasons in program history, including victories over nationally ranked opponents and the program's first winning seasons. She also finished her career ranked seventh all-time in block assists and ninth in total blocks.
Following her playing career, Sarah pursued advanced training in leadership, coaching, and mental performance. She earned her Leadership Certificate from the University of Portland and is a Master Coach and Trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a Master Practitioner of Integrated Time Line Therapy®, and an ICF-trained coach.
Sarah is passionate about helping athletes develop both their volleyball skills and the mental skills that support high-level performance. She believes confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and self-trust are all trainable qualities that allow athletes to compete more freely, respond to adversity, and enjoy the game at a higher level.
