Ryan joined the WAVE coaching staff in 2026! Ryan played college club volleyball at Sonoma State University, capturing two silver medals and five overall top nine finishes at the NCVF National Championships. He assisted their men's team after graduating, and has since coached at UCLA and San Diego State for their respective women's club volleyball programs. In 2025, Ryan's SDSU team captured gold at the NCVF National Championships, and he received the NCVF D1 National Coach of the Year thanks in part to a dominant regular season and nationals run. He currently sits on the administrative board of the SCCVL as their Director of Competition, and is on the rankings committee for the NCVF Women's divisions. Ryan is known for providing quality and individualized player development, allowing players to maximize their potential in every facet of the game.
