Coach Bobbie Jo Stall-Vest has been coaching since 2010. Coach Stall-Vest holds a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine and a Bachelors in Public Relations and Sports Studies from East Carolina University where she played.
Coach Stall-Vest is currently the Head Women’s Volleyball/ Assistant Beach Coach at San DIego Mesa College where she also teaches as an instructor in the Exercise Science Department. She attended Mesa as a student-athlete prior to ECU. Since 2017 she has won 4 indoor and beach conference championships, made it to playoffs every year and has received Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors 3 times.
Prior to that Coach Stall-Vest coached at her alumni at San Marcos High School from 2011-2017 where her Lady Knights won a CIF DII Championship and a League Championship in 2017. Her squad made an appearance in the CIF DIII Finals in 2013 and was the league runner-up in 2016. In her final season with the Lady Knights, she was awarded CIF Coach of the Year Honor for the 2017 season.
Additionally she volunteer-assisted at Cal State San Marcos in both the indoor and sand programs from 2013-2014.
Coach Stall-Vest encourages her athletes to stay extremely motivated, focused and disciplined. She believes that building character, confidence and a desire for high levels of achievement, both on and off the court, is the key to success.
Coach Stall-Vest was born and raised in Gallup, New Mexico, but moved to San Marcos in 2003 where she now resides. She enjoys playing volleyball, golfing, playing guitar, watching football and loves spending time with her husband Dennis, family, friends, and dogs Lilly and Layla.
