Coach Aycock has been working with and training athletes at all levels for 23 years. He is a seasoned Coach with experience at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels. Additionally, he has been an integral part of the top sports performance centers in the country including IMG, USTA, Velocity and EXOS. At EXOS, he was the first head coach for youth training. With EXOS and support staff, he completed a year-long Olympic project in Beijing, China where he trained Women’s Volleyball & helped their dominant Diving program rack up 6 more Gold Medals at the London 2012 games. Without question, his passion lies in Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) and over his career has worked with 10,000 youth at all levels from fun and recreation to competitive and college-bound.
The WAVE Agility & Strength program powered by Joshua Aycock Strength and Conditioning is designed to help young athletes get the proper training and education to help them perform at their best. Special attention is focused on decreasing potential for injury and progressing athletes based on their level of training. The goal of power and performance is built upon a great foundation of strength and stability. Speed and agility are built into each session to challenge the athlete, help with coordination and improve body control.
Coach Kiani is a WAVE alum from Cardiff, CA. She played volleyball at WAVE for 8 years and was trained by many of the amazing coaches that are still at WAVE today. She was on the volleyball team at San Dieguito HS Academy and is the program record-holder in career digs with 1,527. After club and high school, she played volleyball for 5 years at Stony Brook University in New York where she was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and set the new program record in career digs with 1,834 during her 5th season in 2021. Kiani graduated from Stony Brook with a degree in Health Science in the Spring of 2021 and she interned at Wave Agility and Strength this past summer before returning for her 5th year.
