Scott is in his 6th season with WAVE and his 3rd season as the head volleyball coach at Point Loma Nazarene University.
Scott grew up in the LA area and was recruited to play at CSU Northridge. An injury ended his collegiate playing career, and he transferred to Long Beach State where he earned a BA with a double major in political science and religious studies. He also has a Masters in Ministry from Point Loma.
Continuing his love for the game, Scott entered the coaching ranks, taking a position at USC with both the men’s and women’s programs. During Scott’s tenure at USC, he made it to the NCAA final four three times. The men were runners-up in the 2009 NCAA championships, in 2010 the Women of Troy reached the Final Four, and the men reached the Final Four again in 2011. At the club level Scott has had multiple top-10 finishes at the USA Junior National Championships. He also volunteered with the USA women’s national team during much of the 2009-2012 quadrennial.
Scott and his wife Jamie reside in Ocean Beach.
