Noly Mon began his volleyball career at Mt. Carmel High School before continuing at Miramar College as a setter/libero, where he earned two conference titles and a Second Team All-Conference recognition. He later transferred to The University of Saint Katherine, competing on their inaugural men’s volleyball team and being named Team MVP. Noly went on to pursue higher education at Point Loma Nazarene University, where he earned his Master’s in Organizational Leadership, sharpening his ability to lead and inspire both athletes and teams.
Since beginning his coaching career in 2014 at his alma mater, Noly has made a lasting impact on the San Diego volleyball community. At Westview High School, he guided his junior varsity squad to seven consecutive league championships, and later joined the staff at San Diego State University as an Assistant Coach for four seasons. His coaching experience also includes competing and coaching for Wave’s VLA Semi-Pro Team, serving as Assistant Coach and Director of Operations with the San Diego Mojo Pro Volleyball Federation team, and leading the Canyon Crest Academy boys’ program to a historic perfect 38-0 regular season in 2025.
Noly’s coaching philosophy is built on the three controllables: effort, attitude, and preparation. He is committed to developing athletes who excel technically and tactically while also growing as leaders and teammates. Through high-intensity training, film analysis, and a culture grounded in accountability and trust, he strives to maximize every player’s potential. His mission is not only to win games, but to equip his athletes with the resilience, discipline, and character that carry far beyond the court.
