Sean grew up in North County San Diego and attended La Costa Canyon High School. While at La Costa, Sean played both Volleyball and Soccer. During this time he also played for Wave Volleyball Club.

After High School, Sean attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he received his degree in Psychology with a minor in Education. After graduating in 2016, he returned to school to receive his multiple subject teaching credential.

Sean currently works as a substitute teacher throughout the Encinitas, Cardiff and Del Mar school districts. He has also been coaching the Freshman and Junior Varsity boys Soccer and Indoor Volleyball teams at La Costa Canyon High School since 2016 as well as the assistant boys Varsity and Junior Varsity Beach Volleyball coach since 2018.
